If my original Earth name 'Margaret' had been put on me, though then, of course, as a mere, perhaps mocking, slave name at the whim of masters, things might have been different. Earth-girl names, incidentally, are sometimes put on native Gorean girls, perhaps to punish them, belittle them, demean them, humiliate them, or so on.
