Let us suppose that, to his amazement, and perhaps consternation, it becomes clear to him one evening that she has somehow changed, that she has somehow become a needful, radically sexual creature, really, and not for mere political purposes, so to speak. He is amazed to discern not only that she has sexual needs, but that they are profound, and that she is currently, helplessly, in the throes of their grasp.
