Whereas the slave pits are open, and thus exposed to the weather, there is also a long, low stable for female slaves. Adjoining it there is a barred, roofed pen, or exercise yard, as well. Female slaves in a slaver's holding are usually exercised nude and under the supervision of a slaver's man, who bears a whip.
